Instead of sending our clients gifts at Christmas to thank them for their continued business throughout the year, CRJ Services and Matpro have a tradition of donating money to a range of charities close to the hearts of our employees.
This year, as a company, we have chosen to support three very worthy causes, all receiving £1,000 to help them continue the amazing work they undertake.
Rob Symons, Director at CRJ Services and Matpro Machinery commented:
“Christmas is a lovely time of year for most, and as many people and companies exchange gifts, we at CRJ Services and Matpro believe in using this period of generosity to do our bit for people (and animals) less fortunate than most.
As a company, we have selected three deserving charities to each receive £1,000. Each of these causes are very close the hearts of our team, and we are delighted to be able to support them in this way, in lieu of sending our valued clients Christmas gifts.”
Windyway Trust – Supporting Windyway Animal Sanctuary
Windyway Trust is a Macclesfield based charity, set up in 2005 to support the rescue and rehoming of animals at Windyway Animal Sanctuary. They have a team of volunteers who help to run the events, operate a shop, sort donation and generally support all fundraising activities.
The Animal Sanctuary itself was set up in 1960 when the Nall family moved to Windyway Head Farm. After years of working with local charities to support their efforts, the Windway Trust was formed to help concentrate on their own methods and ways of working.
Today the sanctuary rehomes or reunite, with their owners, 200 animals each year. They aim to neuter and vaccinate every animal before they are rehomed. They will keep every animal for as long as necessary before rehoming is possible, and they never put down a healthy animal.
The trust conducts a wide range of fundraising activities to help support the sanctuary, including Christmas fairs, quiz nights, open days and garden parties to name a few. CRJ Services & Matpro Machinery are proud to support such a worthy cause.

The Alzheimer’s Society was set up in 1979, and is the only UK charity that campaigns for change, funds research to find a cure and supports people living with dementia today.
Dementia is the UK’s biggest killer. Someone develops it every three minutes, and there is currently no cure. The society’s current ambition is that by 2022, all people newly diagnosed with dementia will have an offer of support and be able to manager and live better lives alongside the illness. They operate the ‘Dementia Connect Service’ which aims to transform the support people receive and will provide the right support in the best way for each individual person. Their expert Dementia Advisors are trained to speak by phone of face to face, and help people take back control of their lives.
They also operate the ‘National Dementia Helpline’ which is open seven days a week to provide information and emotional support to anyone affected.
In the last year, they have raised £107 million. For every £1 they received 89p is spent directly on improving the lives of people with dementia. They other 11p is spent is used to generate future income through campaigns and events.
The Alzheimer’s Society is the only UK charity investing in research into dementia care, cause, cure and prevention. They have committed £150,000,000 on cutting-edge research over the next 10 years.
